New pictures of patches colt

Please excuse the mud we have had nothing but rain here for weeks. We had a couple dry hours yesterday and I snapped hubby playing with Patches colt.

Looking good.
He's a cute little fellow.
What your plans for him?
Did you make the Taylors sale?

No dang it I again did not get to go to Taylors sale. I am just sick as the mare I wanted went pretty low. I would have brought her home in a heart beat. We had a couple foals come down with a virus so I was home nursing them. They are all well again now

We have decided to keep this guy as our Classic Show pony for 2009. If he keeps maturing as nice as he is now he will be our future herdsire for Classic Shetland ponies when he matures. I am so happy with this little guy can you tell?

He sure is a good looking little chap, and it will be great if he 'makes the grade' and we can follow him from birth to grown up stud

Do you have any brown sugar? Give him a teaspoon full from me. Tell him it's from grandma Horton.

I'll never forget the first time I met Fred and grandma H. She was my step dad's filly. No bigger than his GSD. Grandma would bring out a little brown sugar for her. She would nicker and come a running. Hard to believe that was 38 years ago. Fred died a few years back. It's funny I never thought of that til I saw his pic. I bet he'd like some sugar.

He is a cutie, and I wish you the best of luck with him.
I really like his color, I like a pinto with just enough
white to be called a pinto.
Then I look at my guy and think, look at all that white
Would love to put Jack in the show ring in the future.
With QH, I always liked soiled colors, and very little white, if any.
But I'm finding with the popnies I love the wild colors, and I love sabinos.
I bought my guy because I love his sire, plus I found out I went to school
with his owner, and know what quality of horses she has always had, no matter what breed she showed.

Thanks so much for the compliments!

country, Im like you I love pinto (have a whole herd full) but I specifically bought a minimal tobiano stallion to control the white. I like just enough to know they are pinto but not too much. White in the wrong place can be very bad in the show ring. Plus its such a pain to keep them white. Now having said that I keep hoping for a visual frame filly
