Red, white, and triple blue

This must be foal day. I noticed that there was another post about a foal being born. This is the birth announcement of our first foal of 2008 as well. His name is Skylight's Rebel Yell "Rebel" for short. I've had 2 mares on the foal alert system for a month now and it wasnt either one of those. It was our mare lady. She wasnt bagged up yesterday and wasnt bagged up this morning either. She didnt even have the jello butt. No signs of foaling today. but she's unpredictable. This is the first birth of hers that i've attended and thats because hewas born at 6:45 pm. I came home and noticed the mares werent up looking for their supper. I seen them all in one corner with lady lying down and i ran just as fast as i could run. His head was all the way out already. It is a bright red chestnut colt with 4 white feet and a huge blaze with 2 blue eyes. Not pinto or dun. And Where did the blue eyes come from? Lady is a silver black pinto with lots of white but she produces either solids or minimal pintos. No blue eyes the sire is Rico he is a grullo dun no blue eyes either. Rebel is a big colt he's between 24 and 25 inches tall. He's all the colors of the rebel flag, he's independent as heck, and he's born in the south. Name fits perfectly all the way around.

I'll post pics tomarrow if i get a chance. I may be too busy playing with my new boy to take pics though. Maybe this will trigger all the restt of the mares to have their foals too. Sure is a cold windy night to be having babies though.

He sounds really, really cute.
Will be watching for pictures, and I love blue eyes.
Does he look to be sabino, I know they will have blue eyes a lot of the time.
My shetland Jack is sabino, but no blue eyes, which I had hoped for.

I have had blue eyed minis, out of colors you would not expect blue eyes to come from.
He must be cute as a button. Please post pics if possible.
