AMHA and AMHR do not have papers for their minis until they are at least three years old (amhr) 5 years for (amha)
so know that you know that so perhaps just a missed word or letter, in the name or incorrect Stallion versus filly.
would not be difficult to change.

It sounds fishy to me as well, how do you mess up Stallion and Mare on paperwork? She's adorable though, beautiful coloring. The paperwork does have me worried...Have you called AMHA about the problem? (If you have please forgive me for overlooking it)

Yes, she has temp. registration, and owners filled it out wrong, therefor I have to have a vet look at her write a statement that she is a filly, and not a Stallion....They will not change simply because you ask them too....I have AMHA on phone, and they said she clearly put, stallion and not filly, therefor vet must be used.

Look at her temp papers.....

Just talk to your vet and let them know whats up. I know that your vet is amazing from following your story on Barbie's "pregnancy" maybe he'd be just as great about this too.

I'd ask them to knock off $$ on her price to fix the problem. Or you could walk away.

Good luck on what ever you choose to do.

How far away is she? Either way you said you wanted to go look at her/him
You could go out and maybe your vet will ride with(that way he wont charge you as much possibly?) Just a idea. I def would ask them to take some $$$ off of her just for the trouble and the extra trip and of course...the vet bill you will end up paying.
Keep us updated She is SOOO cute...I wouldnt just pass her up. You gotta find out....you just gotta

She sure is a cutie, and I know that if I made a mistake like that it would be up to me to fix. otherwise it would not be good with the registry to have that BIG of a mistake and not fix it.
Is it possible to have photos of the filly that your vet could look at ? that is if she gets back to you.

Maybe she got the umbilical cord mixed up with something else....

Or maybe she thought she was dealing with kittens.... I still have a hard time with that!

Sounds suspicious to me since she's no longer returning your calls. It's too bad, she is a cutie.

This is a little off subject- It's funny to me how many people complain about "tire kickers", but here LTD is seriously trying to look at this filly & is getting kicked around. Sorry it didn't work out! Maybe she'll call when she has the papers straightened out???? I just can't wait to see some little babies next year!!

Whoa! Yes, I totally agree with Kaykay. There is definitely something going on here. Sounds like the seller is trying to sell this horse off with another horses registration papers. She can get into some serious trouble if that's what she's doing Please be careful.

I had AMHA, on phone again, and the owner did check the wrong box, how she could have done that and not caught it ,is beyond me...but stranger things have happened....I really liked her though, she still hasnt returned my calls, or emails....

LTD Sorry but I still suspect more going on here. Just too many things dont add up. I never like it when they show a weanling pic to sell a yearling. Also she is not a black roan appy and I am shocked that if this is the pic she sent into register they let her register her as a black roan appy. Just because a horse has one appy parent does not make the foal appy unless they actually have the markings. Now they can get them later so normally they are registered "black with appy characteristics" But I see none on her in this picture. I suspect she got a call from AMHA and that is probably why she is not returning your calls.

LOL, yet another lie, she didnt even send pictures in....forgot to mention that part....I have moved on, anyway, I was not looking to buy when I saw her, she was just so friggen cute...had to share....I did want her though, because, she was darling.....but whatever....I just dont see how, some sellers can honestly say the things they do, when my first call is to the registry, BEFORE I buy anything...Nothing like getting caught in, more than one lie....
