Meet my new guy

I just got this guy on Sunday. He is a 4 yro old QH (I'd say a cross by looking at him) stallion, soon to be gelding. I would say he is about 14 or 14.1. He is so incredibly sweet, and very smart. He is not broke, but I have been round penning him and have saddled him.
Here he is when I got him (yes those are all burdocks in his tail, took 3 hours to get them out!)

And after some grooming:

I am amazed how much hair he has! It drags about 3 or 4 inches on the ground!

Thanks guys! I am in love with his tail too
He is such a sweet little guy, you wouldn't know he isn't cut yet. I got on him for the first time last night and he was perfect, just wandered around the roundpen practicing turning and stoppping. I'm really happy with him, I've never had anything so easy to train! He picks up on everything soo soo fast.

What do you all think he might be crossed with if anything at all? To me he looks like he has some mustang in him or maybe old style morgan?

Holy cow!

What a tail.

I second the Morgan and Mustang cross.

He is going to make an awesome gelding and riding horse!

Now that is one heck of a tail, and it's attatched to a real cutie as well

What did you use to get those dang burdocks out?? Yesterday when I was laid up the boys kindly took down the cross fence in the horses paddock, and Max looks nearly that bad already, and the other two aren't a lot better
