Introducing Maverick

OK, so I'm new here but it looks like we all like to show off and see each others animal babies.

Here is Maverick. These pics are about 4 months old. He has really bulked up since then. Maverick is Two Eyed Jack and Hancock bred. He is a half brother to Jennifer's new palomino.

He's a handsome boy

I love the way those few white mane hairs blend into the black ones.

So does he live up to his Hancock breeding? I knew a cowboy once ( and by cowboy I mean that's what he put on his tax papers real working cowboy) who claimed he liked Hancock horses because they all bucked for him in the morning.

Beautiful! He could be my horse's stunt double... Here's a pic, not a very good one, to show you how much alike they are

Well I started him right at 2 y/o since I am so small. I sent him to a trainer for 30 days that was real light with him and didn't work him hard. Just taught him the basics. I have had Mav since he was 4 months old and anyplace the older horses went or anything they did Mav went too. So he is pretty well seasoned for a two year old. Not much bothers him. I have been riding him in grand entries and around the pasture and down the road. Thats about it for now. I looking into some playdays (which I've never done before). I think seeing and trying new things is good for him (everything at a walk trot of course). I don't want to put to much pressure on his growing body. Around his 3 year old year I have a good friend/trainer in AR that I'm sending him to for cutting or reining (haven't decided which one yet). He is cowbred out the ying yang so I figure I need to make something out of him. ANy suggestions taking into consideration his conformation what direction he should go?
