Milo!

Here's some Milo pics for you guys! He's growing like a weed, his butt is level with my shoulder and he's a May baby!

Today we entered phase 2 of weaning - his first day away from momma. Milo is pastured with my older mares and Whisper is in the field next to them - so far so good. DD is such a good baby sitter, I think that really helps the whole situation.

I'd love to hear what you guys think of him. As of yet, I still don't know if I'll keep him or not. Alright, I'll shut up now!

He's so cute! Looks like he's going to be a handsome boy when he grows up. I love the two blue eyes with the chesnut it's very striking. I'd save him and see how he does in the show ring.

Awww, he's adorable. You definately need to keep him and make him your personal riding horse. He's so flashy and cute, plus your herd is all mares, right? You need a colt to even things out. Please keep him and let us watch him grow.

Update-

This whole weaning thing is a piece of cake! It's been 5 days since they've been separated - by my flimsy white tape fence and all is peachy!

Whisper is bagged up, but other then that it's quiet and everyone's staying where they're supposed to. Whsiper is starting to pack on the pounds (which is really good, she needs weight) and Milo's not losing any.

I've totally been dreading weaning time, I hear all these horror stories and everything, but this is a breeze!

Good to hear.. they both must have been ready for it..

We have a couple of mares that are just thrilled when it is time for weaning.. never look back or call out once..

He looks so good.. I can't get over how big he is... Nice job with your first baby Sam... he is a real credit to your care..
