| I love the Lippazaners(sp). I went out to eat with my boyfriend, my farrier and his daughter this past weekend. We started talking bout the lipp show that comes through here ever 2 years or so. Well my farrier ended up having to shoe some of them while they were here just to get them by until they headed to their "home" in south florida. He stayed around the civic center the majority of the time that they were here b/c he had to continously put shoes back on.
The show was about to start and when the line goes out in the very beginning he was in the middle of clinching the nails on the shoe he just put back on (he had a whopping 3-5 min. to do so) and right when he put the hoof on the ground the horse and rider took off b/c they had to go.
They wanted to pay him but all he asked for in return was some tickets to the show for him and his daughter and be able to come "back stage" and meet some of the riders and horses. Lets just say they had a memorable time.
