Still working on that one, I'm trying to arrange it for w/c 14th, but at the moment am still hitting husband over the head trying to get him to agree on if they are going to be hauled all the way, if we are going to go fetch them, or if we're going to meet them half way.

Maybe I should stop hitting him and take the whole candle lit dinner and cuddle approach

Candles may work, but a big ol frying pan I think is the most convincing!

What a nice pair you have... Baby is just to cute for words. Just makes you want to pick him up and cuddle him for all he's worth.... And nice papa. I never knew a Haflinger could look so stunning. They to me always appear like the cutest ponies imaginable. Congrats on both. When do you get to bring them home??

UPDATE, husbands head is harder than frying pan, and do you know how difficult it is to fry eggs with a big lump in the bottom of the pan Back to sweet talking.

Here are the latest pics, here's Alsvid at 9 days old, I think that his legs are looking better now, and he's cuter than cute.

And my favourite

The sire is fantastic. That will be a nice horse for you. Legs straighten out also may need a tad of selenium. It can be toxic so at Tractor Supply they sell a little mineral block thing that mare and foal can lick that is fine even with grain. Excercise tightens them anyway though. Just make sure good feed. I love them all three! You are lucky!

Your twice lucky! The mare is nice and the baby is adorable. I love his cute little blaze.... I mean his very macho blaze. lol Have you decided what you are going to do with him? Sorry if I missed it, but are you going to keep him also?

I'm not sure yet if he'll stay, he's meant to be sold next spring, but can you believe husband is already weakening, just from seeing the photo's The honest answer will be if he's going to make a good height, and he has everything about him that I like, he may get to stay. If his mum turns out to be a good partner for me, then I will I'll have to think seriusly about letting him go.

On that subject I had really REALLY scary thought today. .....Every time you buy an animal, part of you prepares for the fact that one day you may lose it, after all they have such short life spans compared to us. Then it suddenly occurs to me that Alsvid could easily live into his 30's.......and I'm 50 already do the maths, he COULD outlive me.
