Zippy all tacked up! :)

I just wanted to share a picture of Zippy fully tacked up in my training gear. He's doing so well. He does everything I ask him without any problems and picks up on it very fast! I can't wait to actually get on him and go. He knows just about everything I could possibly teach him without actually getting on him.

And he responds best to voice commands rather than any physical help. Once he's got it down and learns the word, he does it just about everytime. Usually only takes him 2-3 sessions (15 minutes of his time ) to figure out what Im asking him. Its great!

Anyways, sorry its so dark but evening is the only time I work with the horses because its too hot any other time. His withers are ever so slowly catching up to his butt. Yay!

Brittany, he looks fantastic! Way to go! Does this mean you got a new camera?

Again I love the headstall! Can you PM the link to where you got it?

No I don't have a new camera, I borrowed my sister in laws. Its much nicer than the one I had, so I must be careful with it.

I got the headstall from Tractor Supply. It came with matching blue, nylon reins but they are short (barrel racing) and I HATE short reins . So I took them off and replaced them with my leather split reins.

I LOVE the expression he's giving...its like he's saying "dude, what's this stuff doing on me??? I'm not a barbie doll, I'm a rugged manly stud...you are so ruining the image I've been desperately trying to make..."

Look at that wild crazy bucking bronco!!!
He looks great, so relaxed. He'll be such a breeze with it's time to get on him.

Ron! Don't say that about Zippy, you'll hurt his feelings.
