mini mule?

I was just wondering if a donkey has ever been bred to a minurature horse, and if so what is the resulting baby called?

Also, if you breed a mommoth jack to a pony, can you make a kids sized mule?

I think that a mini horse to a donkey produces a mini mule. A pony with a mule is a pony mule. I have no idea what a mammoth jack crossed with a pony would be, but it theoretically could be a good kid's sized mule (my guess).

Anything bred to a donkey is a mule.
Different names for sex's.

Yes, breeding a mini to a jack produces mini donks, or visa versa.
My friend just bought a mini grulla gelding mule at the sale this past weekend.
She raises mules.

Breeding a standard donk to a horse will have a good size mule baby for kids.
A mammoth can range over 16 hands. You would have a hard time breeding a pony to a mammoth jack.

They are really cute and I know mules it is a hole new ball game. My son has been working with some big ones, they age from 2-5 and never been haltered and now they come to us and he can put his hand under thier chin and lead them anywhere they are very small. He just went out and start moving things around in thier pen and here they come to see what he was doing and we can pet all 5 all over now. I take bread out and they love and so when they hear the bags here they come they are all over us now.
I want the young 1 in the hard her name is Cinnamon, I have her on another thread. BUt I am in lovelook at that face

She looks like a sweety, I think she must be from very quality breeding also, she looks like a nice built mule. I like the smooth coat, the little ones are so fuzzy. Well the update on mine are the Palomino team is sold. We have a deposit on them. They have to be gentled by the end of the month. They now come up for treats but are still very hard to catch. The pally's are getting seperated out today and taken to start their roundpenning and halter training. We still have the chocolate molly pair for sale and are keeping socks. He will pull a cart, and hopefully give my 5 year old son rides OR he will just be the cutest little pet ever!

How small would it have to be before you would consider it a mini mule? I had a little gaited mule that stood around 10 hands, maybe a little less. He was adorable!

From my understanding it would be the same as the measurements for regular mini horses.

I have a mini-mule that stands approx 3ft tall. Nothing like them in the world. They believe they are full size and there is not anything that will make them think different.

This is Coyote aka "Little Man" taken last summer

this one taken yesterday

Oppsss my mistake - he is a hinny.

And he watches over his herd, you take one away and he is running the fence braying when you leave and standing there waiting for you when you come back.

We had a standard donkey recently staying with us that would consistantly try to mount the mares and chase them all over the place. Little man would get between them and try to keep the donkey off of them.

Donkey had to leave as when Little man tried to defend his herd the donkey would grab him by the neck and try to kill him, it was horrible to hear him screaming.
