I rode my mule today!! *pics added ;)*

Today was the first time I actually rode Ernie! He is a 2 1/2 yo mule gelding out of my pony mare Sweet Pea. He was born at my house and is pretty special to me

He is such a doll! He didn't care at all, never fussed about the saddle, the cinch, me bouncing in the stirrups, etc.... I rode him around the yard with his halter and a lead no problemo!

I will try for pictures tomorrow but had to share my happiness even without pics

OHH congrats. You must feel great. I heard they are alot harder to break than most horses so you must feel wonderful!!Do you have pics of your boy?

I hear ya! I was going to get some new Jolene pics but there's no chance I'm taking her outside when the weather's stupid.

To bad your so far away! I need to find me a good pony mule for caley, seems everything we have that is "kid safe" is over 15 hhs tall

That's a little far to fall for a young'in trying to learn balance! And I'd LOVE to find her a mule that was small to learn on! Her momma learned to ride on a mule, might as well hand down the family traditions
