Okay guys, tomorrow October 26 is National Mule Appreciation Day. This day of recognition was established in 1985. The date chosen was exactly 200 years after the arrival of the Spanish jack "Royal Gift" which was a present from the king of Spain to George Washington. George Washington was not only the father of our country but more imortantly

the father of mule breeding in the US as well. Mules were instrumental in the building of this country, from farming, logging, exploration, transportation and war. So go out tomorrow and thank your long ears and give them a big treat and a good scratch in their favorite spot. Oh wait, that's just like every day around here.
