Wow, I am tickled pick!
After my last quick session with Adam, the mammoth jack, I haven't been able to work with him for a week. Rainy, miserable, no time. So tonight I had half an hour and was going to repeat the same session. Four times step up, with a carrot each time.
Did the same as last, saddled up, no problem, walked and hitched up tight.
Step up box and he was sooooo relaxed.
Told him I was going to step up, ho, and just stepped right up standing.
He stood perfectly still like he was a pro. came down, gave a carrot, let him finish, and stepped up a second time with my leg half over. Same thing, like a rock rock still.
Third time I mounted put my leg over and sat. rock solid still, sat for around 20 seconds and dismounted normally and he didn't move.
fouth time, I mounted and sat for around 30 seconds, and leaned over to give him a carrot, but interestingly enough, he wouldn't take it from there.
So I dismounted and gave him the reward and he was happy.

Wow, I am aboard! Will do this for a week, each time extending the sit time until he is so bored with me aboard that we will want to start moving.

Wasn't set up to take pics because I didn't think I would get this far, but it won't be any problem to take a pic with me mounted now.

Adam is so good, that even after a weeks time, we can take off right from where we last left off. I could tell he knew the drill and was going right through each step as we had before.

Wow! Felt sooo good sitting in that saddle. It's been a long time since I've had my own mount!
