My new mule

We got her this morning and wanted to share. Her feet are in bad shape, but the farrier will be here tomorrow to fix that. She doesnt have a name as yet, so any suggestions are welcome. She is a bit hard to catch just now so we will work on that but once her feet are done we will put her in with the minis.

I hope this works, fingers crossed there will be photos there when I finish

Yes Ma'am she is a pony mule, makes my big (37) inch minis look small. I was thining Jessie, along with a few others. Hubby is at work just now and said I cant name her untill he has a good look at her when he gets home so he can decide aswell.

She is cute, how old is she and what will you do with her? [drive, jump etc..?]
I know she is hard to catch, can you make a small catch pen for her?
I get real concerned about leaving halters and leads on as they can kill an equine when left on unattended.
I say this because it happened to me. I did leave my rope halters on the hard to catch, nicely fit with no way to put a foot or fence post through. I did this for years.
One morning I came out to feed and my friends hard to catch horse had the end of the rope halter-where you clip the lead, stuck in the round bale feeder and had obviously struggled a great deal to get loose and had died during her attempt as the nose band had cut off her air and she had somehow flipped and it tightened.
Sorry to scare you but it was one of the worst experiences I have ever had in my life and if I can save a horse/mule life, and the people from that pain and guilt, it is worth telling about...

Wow, what a cutie pie! I like the name Jessi for her too! (most of my besties have names that start with J, it's weird but cool...my mom always knows when a friend's a keeper if they have a J name!)

WestMar, thank you for your comment, yes I know what you mean and I dont like to keep halters on mine either but its only untill the farrier gets her feet done this morning, then it will be coming off. She has been quite good, I went out a few times yesterday and once she is caught, (took me a few mins) she stands good as gold, so I think it will just be a case of her getting used to me.
I still havent come up with a name...I havent figured out WHAT SHE LOOKS LIKE YET!! But I have been gping out and trying names, but she just doesnt look like anything I've said. I'll get there!!

Thank you, yes she is cute, but allas, all my minis are just pasture ornaments, so she will be one aswell, but I do have a neighbour that shows horses and said I should show her...maybe 1 day I will, i dont know.
