So... I was just thinking it might be fun, or it might be an awful idea... But I'll share anyway.

What do you think about an HT *fun* (notice I said *fun* only) horse show online?

We could maybe elect or have people sign up that would like to play, get horses that are similar (age, breed, ect)... post pics on of each and vote on a winner of the group.

It could be based on which meets breed standard the best, or it could be a tack/color of horse (which looks best), or anything like that...

I know it's far out there, but just an idea from someone very bored sitting behind their computer today

Well, since I know there are dial up users (me included) that have slow connections... it may be best to just do still pictures?

Maybe kind of like the photo contest/confo. clinic but judginge two individuals against each other?

That sounds like a fun idea, I don't have a horse until Marshall arrives but I would love to see everyone's enteries.

O that sounds like fun! Count me in! When do we start? Do we need to come up with a show bill? Or maybe...Mondays for Halter, Tuesday for English/Hunters Wednesday for Western Pleasure Thursday for Reining Friday could be trail...Saturday fashion day for the best matching tack or something along those lines. Sunday I dont know...I have run out of ideas!

Well, first we probably need premission from a mod.

Then we need to figure out what kind of *show* ya'll would be interested in? Like costume contest? or confo. contest? tack contest, ect.

After that, we could send in the pics, set up the thread as a poll and let the people vote, that way everyone could be involved, or would you rather appoint a couple judges ?

You guys gotta help me here, I just started an idea, but to make it would I think it needs to be something everyone feels they could be involved in.

If its ok with the mods, then you would need a show bill and if your comparing breeds of horses to each other ect then someone would have to submit the pictures to someone else so that when there is multiple horses then a thread could be started. (hopefully that makes sence, basically all the pictures would have to be pm'd to someone with the info ect instead of having everyone submit there own.)

I think everyone should get a chance to vote. JMO..

Thank you PVF, that is along the lines of what I was thinking...

Everyone could pm the pics they want to submit to me or whoever takes this on, then after there are a few different horses to fit that category, they could "start the show"... Then everyone could vote to adress our winner.

Well start brain storming for all the different classes for the show bill.
You could do halter, and for non professional halter people they can use reg halters don't have to be fancy..

You could also do a ranch horse halter. Different type horse, conformation wise and they use rope or plain halters. One of our local clubs added it to their show and it's been very popular.
