pic in avatars

I guess I am just a little slow because even though I figured out how to upload pics to photo bucket, I can't seem to figure out how to put one of them in my avatar. I have tried and tried, then I'll give up for a week or so and try again. it just tells me action failed. Can anyone give me some help?

I just changed mine, I didn't even size the pic, it did it on it's own. I would ask a mod. they will know. I don't know why it would do that. Or I would help you. I didn't really have an answer for you huh? I guess I just wanted to write something....

Look up where it says user CP click on it, then go down to where it says edit Avatar, Click on browse pick your picture.

ok, so i did that and it says action failed...I'm not sure whats wrong

I changed mine today, and perhaps it is not reading the picture from your computor.? I found the avatars easy , the pics from photobucket are a problem for me, but I am not to quick using the computor.

I've never had any trouble until just now. I can't change mine either. I've tried both photobucket & right from my computer & niether works. It's getting pretty frustrating!

Edited to add: never mind...I just wasn't being patient enough

. Turns out I can download from my computer but photobucket still isn't working.

I did too, but it actually changed it even though it said it failed. Refresh your screen after you do it F5 and see if that helps.

I have the best luck uploading directly from my computer rather than using a link to photobucket or other location on the web.

Make sure your picture is sized according to the allowed dimensions. I don't remember what they are off the top of my head, but the specifics are in a stickie.

If you are still having trouble, put your desired picture on photobucket and PM me the link. I'll try to set it up for you through the moderation tools.

No promises I can make it work, but I will try for you.

Using the upload pic from your computer option works best for me.

I tried to put a picture in the avater, but it kept saying invalid entry. I am tryin from photobucket. Don't know how to do it directly from computer.

Go to user cp, then click on edit avatar, then scroll down to where it says Option 2 Upload Image From Your Computer, then click on browse, select your picture from your computer where they've been saved to then your picture should show up in the box, and then click on save changes. thanks!! I think I finally figured it out...of course I'm not sure I could do it again so my avatar will probably always be the same one!!
