Just had to say it

Hello all,
I know I have not been here long, but I have to say something... This is probably by far one of the best run/maintained horse forums that there is!
In all of my other forums, groups etc there is either alot of spamming, nagging, bitching, gossiping, etc etc(im sure you ALL know what im taking about), but here, i feel comfortable posting pictures without someone going off on a tangent about how i shouldnt be using this, or i should be doing that.
Having browsed through much of your site, and seeing people able to post things they need to get off their chest and having hundreds of calming, "hugging" replies really puts a good feeling in my heart.
This is the only place where i have posted show pictures from our first show(oh so proud) and gotten a HUGE response of all "GOOD JOB!" and no "well he doesnt look so good in THAT picture"

I just had to put it out there, and i know many people feel this way.
Thank you for the wonderful forum

Sarah

yep, exactly!

I wish that the horsetopia forum folks would run a homeschooling, natural parenting forum too..because I have other parts of my life I would love to meet people on line and talk about stuff...but most other forums are either nasty or clique-y or the just don't respond to new people at all.

This place is very precious to me. Who would have thought that insisting on good behavior and decent grammar skills would make such a difference to so many

There truly is nothing like HT! I was 17 when I first found the forums, and anxiously waited until the day I turned 18 to join! I absolutely love it!

It's kinda sad when some of my dearest friends I have never "met"

my hubby calls this cracktopia..sigh it's not my fault when all the real people I know just sort of glaze over when I start to talk horses..

It is a great forum because of you members.. you are the heart and soul of this place.. good hearts, good souls - all here to share stories of your equine loves, trials and tribulations; to seek advise; to just revel in the camaraderie of like minded folks who have compassion and a real joy in horse ownership..

You make the job as a moderator pretty darn easy on here - at least 99% of the time..

Oh I wouldnt call it "sad".....I think its super. We like each other for who we actually are, not how we look or what we drive or where we live...HT makes me warm and fuzzy....enough mushing, HT also makes me late for work.

Hate for you to have to wait, so here goes...

Anyone that doesn't totally agree with me on something - no matter what the subject - is a wacko...probably a commie or something...maybe some kind of genetic mutation...or a throwback to an early Cro Magnon named Grogg. That's right, their real name is probably Grogg - I wouldn't listen to them if I were you...

Yes, it is wonderful. I have been a "member" for almost 3 years now. Even though I don't post much, I browse every day and am always learning new things. My husband gets so tired of "on horsetopia I read that this will work" etc. Just be careful, its WAY addicting!

Most of us that have been around for a bit know to watch out for Faceman too. Ornery Man!

Seriously though, I have learned so much for HT members that I annoy my father (who tought me about horses), because I now know more than him! I love it! Everyone here is great and I'm glad to call them family.

Oh yeah, and when I get home, Gary is actually to the point where he ask about HT! He's asked me what he has to do to join...
