new here & having some trouble

hello im new here and im having some trouble such as posting a new thread i was going to post an introduction in that area but it wont let me a page comes up saying this

ILoveMyPaint, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

but i got my activation email today and was able to post a new thread here and in other areas but when i go back to the intro area it still wont let me.

i also wanted to upload my avatar but when i got to edit avatat under user cp it only has one option and it says *do not use an avatar....ther is nothing to click on to change it or upload one like my acount isnt active.....i dont know but some help please....

If you did not have any success in your thread question. maybe you did not log in with user name and password.
If you are still haveing trouble private message one of the moderators.

It takes a little while after you join,before you can start a new post.I had a little trouble when i joined the other day like that.

i did contact a moderater and they reactivated my account and still cant post a new thread in the intro area (no problems doing it in other areas here) and no upload avatar option under user cp. so hopefully time will tell and i will have some sucess soon. thanks for the suggestions.

I was having that problem, too, ILoveMyPaint, but it seems to be cleared up now.
