Question Search function never works

Is it just me doing something stupid or does the search function not work at all? At first I thought it said minimum 4 letters but then realized it says minimum of 4 words and when I complied I still get the same error message. It happens every time I try to search the forum in general -for months now. If I want to search for a specific person or something, I have no problems. What's up with that??

You don't need to search for a minimum of four words. It's just that when you do a search none of the words you use can be less than four letters. So, for example, if you want to find a great thread where you remember someone posting about a Thoroughbred jumper named Sam, you could search for: thoroughbred jumper but not thoroughbred jumper sam because "sam" is only three letters and therefore too short to include in a search.

I had given up on searches altogether, and never did figure it out. Thanks for getting that cleared up for me, CClop.

Thanks guys! I feel better already

It probably wouldn't be so bad if I didn't used to be so good with technology!
Now I do good to find the on/off and volume controls on most stuff.

I am glad when I match the right switch to the right light-especially on the second or less try!
