How To Change .BMP Picture Files

Hey, guys (well, mostly gals! )
Some of the pictures you are trying to post aren't showing up, and I know you are wondering why... Annie had posted a long time ago that the only picture files that work are the ones that end in .jpg or .gif. IF you want your pic to show up instead of the link, you'll need to change the file.

Changing files from .bmp to an "accepted" format is pretty easy!
(HAHA - I heard you sighing in relief! )

First open the program called "Paint" in your computer.
Then go to "File." (Upper Left)
Then scroll down to "Open.."
Then find the picture file you want to change.
Once it is opened.
Go to "File" (Back up at the upper left.)
Then scroll down to "Save as.."
Then once the Save As screen pops up,
"File Name" (It's in the lower middle-here's your shot to rename it)
"Save as type:" (Right Below File Name)
Scroll through the options to: "JPEG" or "GIF"
Once you have changed it, click "Save" (to the right of File Name)
And that's it!! Your file is now in the new format!


Now you need to upload the new file to photobucket, and edit your post here to include the new tag.
