Admins: Any news on when and if HT will ever be fixed?

I'm posting this instead of sending a PM because I'm sure anyone who has been experiencing the frustration of "connection interrupted" would like to know... is there any news or information about fixing the problem? Any projected "fix by" date? Anything any of us can do to minimized the problem (browser settings for example)?

Inquiring (and frustrated) minds *really* want to know...

I know there have been many threads about these issues, but they are really getting frustating! It would be nice if someone would respond with some kind of an update as to the problems and when they WILL be fixed. I have only been a member here for a short time, but have read this forum for a long time. I would hate to be forced to find another site to amuse myself.

Trust me sometimes you will not even get a message back "for days", and I have posted on the other thread that the ads on top sometimes OPEN, so now I have to arrow around the ads. very frustrating.

Now for try number 9 says busy try again.

What browser are you using? Firefox will block popups.

I dont think its so much HT that is the problem, ive had the same problem with other websites besides HT with the page cannot be displayed or Error on page, ect. I think its the whole internet um provider, search engines. Ive been on dial up, High Speed and Satellite and have the same problems with HT and other sites really, so i think its the internet as a whole and not just HT but thats just my opinion.

I have no problems with any other website other than this one. The same problems as 3 months ago....or whenever...it's been so long now that I can't remember when it was working normally.

Do you have the popup blocker on? (Depending on your version of Firefox, it's under preferences/content). There is also an add-on you can get for Firefox that will block ads. I have that installed at home and get no ads with a mouse-over. I do not have it installed at work and occasionally get a pop-up when I mouse over something.

It's definitely an issue with HT, not the internet or ISP or anything else. I wondered if having a pop-up blocker was causing my problems -- hence the "not having one" at work. No difference at all.

ETA: I just tried to post this and got the dreaded "connection interrupted" and I forgot to copy my post first so I had to type the whole @#$% thing in again (the back button at work won't reload from cache -- security requirements, etc).

This is totally annoying.

Its on an off here with the problems with me and my computer. Also have problems with the school computers as well. Its not everyday thing with the other places i visit either. Just random! Yes its very annoying. If i cant get on HT i go to another site then go back to HT 5 minutes later and its fine.

The following error occured:

Error Code = 1299. Unknown TCP connection error.

For More Information, Please Click Here.

thats what mine usually says when i have problems on HT

Ok, I've been running traceroutes whenever I get the infamous "connection interrupted" page and it appears there could be something wrong with one of the servers traffic has to go through for HT. My traceroute always dies in the same place.

I've had this connection problem for over a month. I have tried to send several messages to mods and admins about this problem. Most of the messages don't even post and the others have received no response.

I'm about fed up. I've spent my time supporting Horstopia's ad revenue stream more than 3,000 times over the past 4 years. You'd think I could get an update.

The ads seem to work fine though. Guess it's a just a matter of priorities for a business that really only maintains this forum as an adjunct to the revenue producing stream of ads for the other part of Horsetopia. Not a criticism, just a fact of the business world. They have to put their tech resources where they do the most good for their business.

I realize that most of us spend most of our time on the forum and not the other part of Horsetopia but that should tell them that this is an important issue. Like most of you, I'm most frustrated with the apparent lack of any attempt to keep us informed as to whether they're actually doing anything about the problem. A sticky would do the job but we're not even getting that.

Again, I'm about fed up.

I only have a problem with horsetopia. No other site does this interrupted connection crap. I have about had my fill, especially when we get no feedback from the admins or mods about what is going on.

Oh, and I really hate the drop down adds.
