Does this look like the face of a "killer"

I had to share something funny in a sort of strange way. Laila, my lovely destructive, naggy, tempermental TB mare. Of course she is in heat
Went out to the barn yesterday morning and she kicked her stall door so hard this time she broke the hinge, knocked over the mini fridge and ate all the apple horse treats (about 25 were in the container) Not quite sure how she knocked the fridge over, but she killed it. Doesnt work anymore. Does this beautiful face look like the monster she can be once a month?

We use to tie our horses and goats to cinder blocks so they could graze in unfenced fields. Luckily, we never had any problems. They could drag the blocks with them and move around to graze, but not take off...or at least they never tried to take off. Eventually, those horses and goats passed away or were sold and I got my own horse. We tied her to a block and 1/2 hour later she had rope burn on her back pasterns. So, lesson learned. We never tied her up again like that.

She is lovely.....my mare who is also a Tb is nasty when sheis in heat. and I mean sheis nasty....She is not allowed in the barn when she goes into heat, and she has to be turned out in a different pasture.

Aww...of course not!

As far as the cinder block- It looks like it could work as a means for teaching a horse to ground tie, under strict supervision, and only after most of the foundation ground-tying work was completed. On second thought, it does look a little scary...

No worry on the cinder blocks. I didnt post this to get comments on that. Better than barb wire or t-posts I see in some pictures They know how to ground tie, dont freak when a rope is around their legs and Laila is 17, Jack is 15, so they have their "basic" training in how to tie. Plus, we were just out of the picture range. They werent unattended. Ive seen some pretty scary ways people tie their horses, like with a bridle. We rode them to a friends daughters birthday party and his cousin is a photographer and took these. And yes, she is a monster when she is in heat, but then again, so am I

Please know that I was not at all saying anything negative about it. Actually I hadn't really noticed what anyone else had said. I picked up on it and thought it might be a good tool (like I said). Then I started picturing my gelding....that's where the 'scary' part comes in. Good thing he already ground ties.

Oh, I know that Highhorse Not a problem. Just explaining so I wouldnt have a heated debate about the way they were tied up. Laila is a fruitloop sometimes, but has the best ground manners. You can bring her out for the farrier and she will stand there, untied till he is done. Same with baths, grooming, etc.

She is beautiful and knows it, so she has earned the right to be a fridge killer.

National Enquirer Headline: Moste Dangerous Beastie Sighted!! Infamous Refrigerator Killer On The Loose!

But seriously, she's a beauty. Maybe she knows that she's so gorgeous, a little misplaced violence against innocent barn appliances will be forgiven?

Every time I read a Mare Horror Story, I once again have to count my blessings that my mare isn't witchy at all when she's cycling. I suppose it might be different now that she is feeling so much better...and I'll need your advice on how to cope. I imagine with one so 'out there' you have lots of remedies and good ideas.

You should see the dents in the fridge Roberts I actually took some pictures of it and her stall door. I think she is staying in the arena today. Shade, water, hay. All the things she needs to survive are there and nothing to kick at except the air.

What a brat! But at least she's a pretty brat! Still though, it really is hard to believe she would do that, just look at how innocent she looks!

She is a typical woman.. Doesnt "get" what she wants and has a tantrum. As far as the stallion within smelling reach, I dont think there is one around for 20 miles. I cant say I blame them for staying away either
