Opie's morning babysitting...

As you know, Miley, Grace's pony, has an eye injury. For her riding lesson this morning, Grace rode Opie! He was so good for her! I am very proud of both of them. He even knew to just step over the jumps for her, and when she told him to trot, he just barely jogged! She has ridden him before, but never for this long, so I was sure he would be good for her, but I didn't expect him to be this good!

Here are some pics of my teeny little one on my big horse!

How cute is that...she is so tiny up there on Opie. What a good boy, although I don't think he liked the pink coloring in his underpad.

We are taking him to a show on Sept 27, and I am going to see how he acts when we get there, if he is good, I am going to let her do a couple of dressage tests on him. I think he will be better for her than for me!

Oh, the other big Opie success from this weekend- He loaded in the trailer for me! We didn't go anywhere, I just wanted to practice since I just got a trailer, and he had a hard time when we brought him to our barn. I am so thrilled with how much he trusts me now, I loaded him several times over the weekend and he will just hop right in for me.

You know Carri, you may be the one looking for a new horse if this keeps up...

I know of a short rotund pretty little pali pony that is just your size..

They look great together. Has Grace asked you to switch horses with her yet?

She looks like she's on top of the world! (Well, Opie - world, same thing)!
Good boy; isn't it funny how they can be such bums with us and then turn around and be as gentle as can be with a little person? It always amazes me.

And, btw.. he is VERY handsome!
