Bragging rights

To make a long story short. I had a wreck with my horse, broke my elbow in 2 places. Over a year ago. So yes i am a timid rider. I loveeeee to ride, but it is not fun riding in fear. It just takes all the fun out of it, plus makes my horse uneasy. Today hubby took kids out, i was alone, Yippeee!! I went and cleaned up my horse, Saddled her, mounted, and took off like the dickens. Up hills, down hills, ( hills and i don't get along) but today was different, velvet was perfect, i mean PERFECT. she watched me out the corner of her eye to make sure i was ok.We rode for over 2 hours, on trails, through obstacles. branches slapping both of us. I believe she had as much fun as i did. I am only hoping now that i can do this every day. But for today i feel great inside.

Well it's like this, my 8 year old daughter rides better then me. When i decided it was time, i forgot all about my fear and thought about my daughter, and how good she does. The hills were very small, we walked those, lol.

Ty so much. I am smiling from ear to ear. Can't wait to do it again later today. Hubby says wait for him to get home from work. HAHA, who needs him now.
