Ah, a good and bad ending - I am sorry you will miss him, but so glad that you are happy with his new owner and future..
He sure is a handsome boy... Big Hugs, and I do so hope they keep you updated.. It does make it a lot easier..

No no never feel stupid about that. You loved him, even though you may have not been a good match, you still loved him.

I hate when they leave to, but knowing they are going to have a job and be with people who love them is what it is all about.

I got a call night before last that Chip is doing well. He was exposed to the calves and didn't freak out. He also put him in the box a couple times and he did good with that too.
The only thing he didn't do well with is when he tried to get him to lope. Turns out he started bucking! And succeeded in throwing his new owner.I think it was just the new place, the calves, new rider, and all the other horses and ropes around. Hopefully he will straighten out and not give him any other problems.

They probly should have let him settle in a little more before throwing so much at him.

I agree BarnBum, I know he wanted to get him out and around the calves and the roping but asking for so much in one night was obviously too much for the poor guy.
