I'm not a horse, I'm a dog!

So I went out yesterday to feed my horse, since I wasn't riding. The barn owner's hubby and a guy that works for him were doing some work on the yard(moving stuff with the tractor, mowing, making alot of noise), and all 3 dogs were out(collie, and 2 tiny little inside dogs).
Anyways I go and put out sabs food... but he doesn't want to leave the tall grass in the back part of his field, so we walk up to the fence to see him with the collie. After he gets all his pets and we start walking away, the dog turns and starts RUNNING AS FAST AS HE CAN down the fenceline. Sab TAKES OFF after him. Then, Sab turns and RUNS back down the fenceline again as hard as he can, and the dog chases after him. Once and a while they would do a "pretty tag" round, where sab would put his tail over his back and trot away like a saddleseat arab, and the dog would leap straight in the air every stride... They played this "tag" game for a good 20 minutes until both of them were tired right out.
I have never seen a dog an horse play like that before... Yeah, I have seen dogs and horses chase each other, but never for fun, never for 20 minutes, its usually one chasing the other, not both taking turns.
Sadly I didnt have my camera although tonight I am going to see if they will do it again!! :P

Animals can be quite entertaining.Dumpling and our Golden retriever play ,but not the same games as Sab and the collie. our dog will lay in Dumpling's hay and look up at him like "yes can I help you" and Dumpling usually looks at her til he's had enough then he will bite her on the back to let her know it's time to move on, I would love to know what's going on in both their minds.Sarah is everything O.K.?How come you are not riding,if you don't mind me asking?I hope everything is O.K..

That must have been just joyful to watch, seeing them playing like that! What a wonderful moment for you! Yup, where's a camera when you need it, huh?

Yes, I am going to try again tomorrow(with camera) to see if they will do it again. Twas amazingly cute(although the way sab acts, I think he thinks he is a dog)...

and yes, i am okay, just a concussion(shows me for not paying attention on an arab). He spooked away from a jump that we were going by, I landed on the ground, and he stood there looking at me like "why are you down there"

Jack and Kayde will do that along the fence line.
If I get onto Kaydee, Jack will come up to the fence
and put his nose to hers, like he's asking why they got in trouble

Oh yes! Shelby (dog) and Mark (gelding) used to do this morning and evening (at feeding time). I used to tell Shelby to 'go get Mark'.. and he'd round him up and bring him to the small pasture... and THEN the fun started.... sometimes I had to break things up because both of them were SO out of breath...
