I am Free!!!!

Last night at the barn, put my 2 boys out to graze. When it was time to bring them in, my daughter ( who is wearing flipflops) decides to take her horse in. Ok, he is 18 years old and knows there is a treat waiting in the stall for him. She goes ahead and I call my boy Zeke. I am delayed by helping another boarder catch her 3 year old (who thinks it is play time). Starting back to the barn, I hear the unmistakable clatter of hooves on cement and look up to see Cheerio flying out of the barn.....no halter or lead rope attached! Panic sets in as I don't know whether to go to see if my daughter is ok or chase Cheerio down the driveway (which he is making a beeline for the road). I also have Zeke so I do my best impression of deer in the headlights stare and stand there. I finally come to my senses, my daughter walks out of the barn (in tact) and I yell Cheerio!. He slides to a stop and turns around but goes barreling past me. At least this is away from the road. He ducks into the pasture from which my daugher had just removed him. Comes to me, drops his head into the halter and gives me a look like What's wrong with you. I think my heart is beating normally now!

At least he decided he knew his name when you did not have a bucket of food in you hands.

Glad it turned out for the best and your heart rate was able to return to normal

Isn't it fun to see if your blood pressure works?
I'm glad nothing went seriously wrong and everyone is where they should be!
