Zippy is sold

Zippy has been sold, leaving here in a few minutes to deliver him to his new home. Ive been crying my eyes out all morning, but its for the best. Great home getting what he needs and deserves. Its just heartbreaking though, I raised him from 6 months old to now at going on 6.

I had thought about keeping him but the cons of keeping him outweigh the pros, plus the home is great how could I not give that to him. He deserves more than I can give right now.

is he going to that lady you were telling us about? Did you get your asking price for him?

I'm sorry that you had to part with Zippy

Sounds like you made the right choice. I cry also when one of mine goes!

I am curious though - was this the same buyer who made the low ball offer ($1000) or a new buyer who gave you the price you needed?

This !@#$$, economy! So many people are hurting and facing terrible decisions. I've seen several farms that have been in the same family for generations sold at foreclosure There are so many out of work with no hope of employment. You're doing the best you can for your family. No one can fault you for that, but it still stinks.

Im sorry you had to sell...Ive had to sell 3 horses in the last two months...it does suck. But, its for their best intrest Keep your spirtits up...and keep their number! I was in the same boat last winter and ended up selling my second favorite horse Monkey...well I told the guy if he ever decided to sell to let me know...well come summer he was moving and needed to sell and he sold him to me for $200 less than what we paid for him the first time we bought him...and like $800 less than what he bought him for from us. So, it turned out good in the end. Just keep their number...and if you would want to buy him back when your able to then maybe mention that to them Do you have a picture to share with us...I cannot picture Zippy for anything right now...but I know who he is (((HUGS TO YOU))) stay strong

No he didnt go to that lady but another friend of mine. He is going to be kept intact as well so who knows, maybe later on down the road should I ever have another mare I can have a foal by him. Just a thought. He seemed to really be happy there. Anyhow I thought I wouldve made a big fool of myself leaving, you know being all emotional. But actually, after dropping him off and seeing how much he'd be just spoiled and happy I knew it was the right decision. Plus I can stop by whenever to say hi.

If I ever had to sell a horse, I swear that alone would be worth a million bucks.
