It's D-Day or maybe I should say W-Day *Update*

That's right, today is the day Freddie gets weaned!! The day that is the absolute low point of horse ownership for me. I'm always a nervous wreck that either the foal or the mare will get hurt. So if anybody has any extra prayers I could sure use them today!!

Here is his birth story for those that don't know who Freddie is:

This Bubble has gotta pop!*He's Here!*

And I hope to have new pics of the little monster at home soon!

Sending prayers your way that everything will go smoothly - which it will of course!

Thanks again MM and OM, the prayers worked!

We got him home safe and sound last night without too much drama. We put Freddie and Bubbles in the barn with the pony and got the halter on Freddie and pony. Then hubby backed the trailer up to the small door and while I stood on one side and pointed the rope towards the trailer he kissed at Freddie from behind and lo and behold Fred jumped right on the trailer! I was shocked but extremely pleased!

The short trailer ride home was uneventful and when we got here hubby took pony off the trailer and I stood back with Freddie. Pointed him towards the door stood back and kissed at him again and "plop" off he goes and walks right into the barn.

I spent quite a bit of time trying to get him to give to pressure and learn the idea of leading. He does very well to the left so no well to the right. But by the time I quit he wasn't rearing up every time we tried the right side so I think we made some progress!

So now with him home I can spend every evening with him and I figure he should be leading in a few days. I am so very happy to have him back home! And the pony too, now that we have a saddle for her I'll start working with her to get her back to letting the kids be lead around on her.

I'll try to get pics of them today to post!!

Thank you! I am so excited to start working with him. He already seems pretty darn smart and quick to pick things up. These next few years are just gonna dddrrraaaggg by I'm afraid.
