Hoof Armour?

Has anyone tried it? I was hoping to make it through the summer w/ my 4 yo TB barefoot but her hooves just aren't holding up. (We're not rocky, but between bouts of super dry ground and stomping bugs she's breaking 'em down faster than she's growing 'em). I have shoes on her right now, but I've heard some good stuff about Hoof Armour as an alternative.

Any thoughts?

I'd like to hear some opinions on different hoof hardners too. There was a thread where people talked about Venice turpentine, are there other products that work as well?
