You know if the smell is that bad, you can always soak each foot in a bucket o' bleach and water for about 10 min.
Cheap, easy, and it kills everything on the foot. Just make sure you don't bleach her hair coat near the coronet band!

Yes. Do both horses feet. Its preventative. I use Koppertox at least 2x week in the summer time (we get alot of rain) and 1x week in our dry months. I never have thrush issues.

Umm Kopertox is rather harsh itself.
I do not do prophylactic care for me horses regarding Thrush[aside from TRYING to keep them dry and clean at night when they are stalled] I use topical treatment of Oxytetracycline when we have thrush in one of ours. I try to avoid the caustic preparations.

Bleach and water is the best, Try not to put too much stuff on the hoof, they might dry and crack. just a preventitive everyonce in a while to keep the fungus at bay.

Try Pete's Goo -- it's the ONLY thing that worked on my mare's thrush (I tried them all). She had it in her heel bulbs and grooves. Pete's Goo is a mixture of Neosporin and athl. foot cream. It really, really works, you can get the ingredients cheap at Walmart (or similar) and it won't hurt the healthy hoof tissue (like bleach and some other treatments can).
