Farrier looks like a body building strength building kind of trade to learn For a horse lover- I bet this is an excellent trade to learn. There seems to be a great demand for good farriers out in the world.

I have always wanted to learn to trim, so I could do my own horse. However it looks way to hard on the back.
I respect my farrier more and more!
