Unhappy Hugs needed..

As i write this my eyes are welling up so bad, please forgive the spelling mistakes. For those of you who followed the Sundance episodes... Today will be her last full day.. The vet has been arranged and burial to follow. We have found her a place to lie which overlooks her home farm where she was born and the bay which she has spent her life. Sundance we diagnosed with cancer somehwere in her body only we never really knew where. A few days ago she started not being able to walk properly, and I could see she would not make it to fall like we had hoped. I chickened out o calling the vet three times before finally making the decsion. I just kept thinking maybe I hadn't done enough... maybe there was more I could do... After all she was only 22 yrs old, dappled and healthy coat, we have been spending our days anging out in dads 2nd cut hay field... and then this morning... suddenly I notice between her chest a huge lump. A massive tumor... How could I have missed this in all the care I have been giving. And then my mom ( a nurse) says they can stay donrmant... and the just pop up.. In some ways I now know I have made the right choice in arrangeing for her to pass on while she is still ok to walk there... but I HURT... in 21 years of owing over 30 horses on a regular basis... I have only ever lost 1 before. **** it doesn't get any easier. Thanks for all your prayers.. I will have forever your post pics of Sundance on her final day here.

Sending my thoughts and prayers. May she find her way over the Rainbow Bridge, to run happy and free through the green meadows.

Please know there really is nothing else you can do but the greatest kindness, which is to end her suffering. I'm sure she had excellent care from you, and knows she's loved. I'm so sorry, and am sending big (((HUGS))) to you

Would you like to share any photos of Sundance?

Here are the pics of Sunny...

She will be missed greatly... She has always been one of my favorites there... it just won't be the same without her... I am the same way I can't even hardly type about it without tearing up....

Just reading that makes me want to cry, I couldn't even imagen your pain you must be going through. Just remeber the good times, the happy memorys you two had together and what an amazing life she must of had to have you love and care for her.

Horses are not just that, they are more-they are a part of the family, and to most of us here on horsetopia they are like our babies, sometimes more. Someone to talk to, someone to cry on and hear everything and never judge. An animal that loves us so dearly back, and never question.

Horses are the world, and this one was the world to you.

I'm sending my thoughts and best prayers, may the pain heal over time. Your doing the right thing.

It's great that this girl has had a happy life with you. She is so lucky to have someone who is strong enough to make that decision that she can't take herself, and let her go on to pastures new, where she will be once again pain free and young.

It;s the hardest and most precious gift that we can offer to our 4 legged friends when they are old, in pain and suffering.

((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))))))) )))) for you at this difficult time.

I am so very sorry that you are having to make this choice. I recently had to do the same and it is never easy. Remember she loves you and knows that you are giving her the best gift an owner, companion and friend coould give her. Hugs and prayers for you in this time of pain and heartache. HT prayers do help soothe the anguish. May she run forever pain free and healthy in greener pastures. I am so sorry.

It is rarely easy to do the right thing, but you did it for Sundance. She is now pain free. She was a very pretty girl. I know you will miss her, but she is running through the hay field at the rainbow bridge. Playing with the others. Eating all the carrots, apples and sugar cubes. RIP Sundance
