Filly eating bedding

Does anyone know why a filly might try to eat her stall bedding? I changed the stall bedding yesterday it was regular sawdust, and put in some of the bedding from TSC in. Last night when I fed her in the stall I did some chores and when I went back in to see if she was done, I caught her EATING THE BEDDING!!! I got her out as fast as I could, I was so afraid she would colic, I don't know how much she ate. Then this morning it happened again! Why? Is she lacking something? I am afraid to put her back in the stall. does anyone have any advice?

Some horses LOVE the taste of kiln dried pine It usually won't hurt them, it's just fiber and a tiny bit of sugar.

I've got one that used to gulp down MOUTHFULS of shavings. She did grow out of it.
