Any up date on how your mare is doing?
Sometimes a mild upset can cause that type behavior., I try to keep banamine on hand and give a shot, helps relax enough to let pass what ever is bothering them. Please consult vet first before giving any shots. Hope she is better.

I would have the vet out as well. Better to get him out when its in the early signs. Better to treat it them. Once its worse your horse will have more chance of being in trouble. Treat it early she should be fine.

Thankyou so Much you guys for your support and advice!!! I talked to the vet on the phone yesterday early evening......She told me a few things to try, and to keep an eye on her...and if she isn't better or worse, to give her a call......I was going to take her temp.....but she has a history of kicking...won't let me pick up her backl legs whatsoever...so I chose to not take her temp...I just watched her...She was drinking....and the vet said to try some hay...she said collicing horses don't eat or drink. She was eating and drinking...so the vet thought she just might be "sick". After about 6:00 last night, I didn't see her lay down anymore...but she was lethargic...This morning she was still the same......No laying down but very lethargic. Well, Just this evening, her eyes have a glimmer again and she is acting herself. I am SO happy. I don't know what the deal was, but it has seemed to pass. Thankyou so Much Again for all of your replies and support. They mean a lot to me!!!!
