I use to own a Dutch Warmblood gelding (gray) who had a sarcoid on the under side of his belly back towards his sheath. It was located on a major blood vessel, so removing was risky, and it would probably come back anyway. We tried several times to tie it off, and it would reappear as soon as it fell off.
We began to use Xterra (also called Indian mud) on the sarcoid and it worked extrmely well.
I remember a tiny tiny container of Xterra being rather expensive ($100?- of course this is when Xterra was relatively new)
Sarcoids are a pain, but I do think the Xterra shrank the sarcoid down to nothing pretty fast and slowed its growth. I always had a container on hand for when it would begin to reappear.
Wear gloves when applying!
