Losing hair

Dax is losing hair, looks almost like rain scald but bigger patches although not huge, loony/toonie size.

I'm thinking it may be the ice, does this sound plausible?

He has quite a flat back and with the wet snow then freezing he had lumps of ice all over his back, sides, butt, I try to brush it off but it's stuck solid, is it possible it's bugged him and he's scratched it off(I have lots of trees etc)removing hair at the same time?

I can't see how it's fungal as its so cold and the other 2 are fine.

It may be rainrot. If he stands in the sun and the ice melts and lays on his flat back, the pooling water could cause rainrot, couldn't it?
You could feed him Super14 for skin and coat. I fed that to a mare that had rainrot and it dried it right up, grew the hair back quickly, and gave her a shiny, healthy coat.

Lol, sun?, haven't seen that for days!
It's soooo cold and the Hugh humidity is horrid

You could be right though, is there a test I can do like a skin scraping or something?

IDK about testing. You would have to ask a vet tech, vet or someone that has had testing done.
