Pregnant Mare

Do you guys feed your preggos anything special? My girl is currently on oats and free choice hay and she has mineral blocks. I didn't know if I should be feeding her a special feed mix? Extra minerals?

I feed my mares a mare and foal feed, and also added mineral supplement, with Alfafa hay.....I add a milk pellet for added calcium supplementation in the last 3 months of gestation, to help with bone developement of the foal and also milk production for the mare.

Like Kanoo I feed mare and foal feed in the last trimester and they get free choice timothy/alfalfa hay. I also keep mineral & salt blocks out at all times.

I give all of mine a mare and foal feed in the last trimester. They always have access to salt/mineral blocks and are given both coastal and alfalfa hay throughout their pregnancy.
