chocolate chip cookies.....

Every other week I bake muffins for my horse. Hubby is a little jealous ,so I bake some chocolate chip cookies for him ( homemade from scratch). Well, yesterday evening I was grooming my horse ( I do that every day when I get home from school) and hubby comes waking past eating 1 cookie and holding another in his hand. Thses cookies have nothing in common with the muffins. My horse gets all silly, salivates, tries to hypnotize hubby...He was not given a cookie though...I was just wondering, is chocolate as bad for horses as it is for dogs?
I don't even have a clue why he was so interested in something he has never had.....
Any ideas?
Hubby does not feed him treats EVER !

i dont think the chocolate would hurt him with just a cookie. the chocolate that dogs cant have is bakers chocolate or pure cocoa. i have known many of my clients dog that have eaten holloween or a box of christmas chocolates and were fine. my own have too. there is not mush pure cocoa in most chocolate to harm them. i have talked to many vets and always got the same answer. i definatly wouldnt go baking him cookies instead. you could bake me cookies though lol
