Cool need feeding advice

I have a 18 y/o QH gelding that is having some very soft, mushy to almost -watery poop. He was recently wormed with a 4 day powerpack in Sept (per our vet's recc worming schedule).
He has no health problems that we are aware of at this time. He currently gets 2lbs of strategy 2x a day plus free choice hay and a small pasture. He is beginning to get thin so, I don't want to change his feed; he needs the protein. Does anyone have any suggestions?
