Reminder To All About Heat and Water

Mods pls feel free to move but felt it would be better suited here:

http://www.wfaa.com/sharedcontent/dw...es.f12ab5.html

Always check on your horses water, no matter even if you are paying someone else to do it. Here in Texas we are experiencing 100+ degree heat and I know our horses are going through anywhere between 15-25 gals a day. We check water three times a day plus refill at night at barn check when needed. It only takes a second to check and refill.

How sad for those horses to suffer with no water, the simplest and easiest thing to give them.

I didn't read the link, I've seen to much sad today to open it

We have a pond in the pasture with our boys, but I also keep a stock tank filled up by the house so they always have access to clean FRESH water whenever they want it as well.

That is just so sad. Those poor horses. During hot weather (100 right now) I always keep a steady stream of water running in the trough to keep the water trough full, the water fresh and then at the end of EVERY day the trough gets emptied and cleaned out.
