Sometimes horses act one way for the trainer and another for the owner.
I would think if you want to keep this mare, your trainer is going to have to work with you and her at the same time. How old is she and how much time was she at the trainers?. Having a balanced, even temperd horse takes months of work and schooling, not just 30 or 60 days. That s How we do it here, work with owner to show what to do with horse to keep the horse progressing in their learning. Just take one step at a time, and work slowly until you have mastered on thing than move on to something else,
