Classic Equine vs. Proffessionals Choice

I know both these brands are good choices, but would like to hear everyones personal favorites, and why.

Do you prefer a Classic Equine saddle pad, or Proffesionals Choice? (or a different brand, and why)

It's about the time to start buying new tack, and want the best!

I've used neither of these brands. We use an approx. $35 wool pad by Diamond Wool, and top it with a folded navajo blanket (I think that's what you call them). If you use the same wool pad on one horse, it will mould to their back so well, that you can basically throw it on them, and it will settle into place - I swear by them, they're awesome for wicking sweat, breathability, cushioning, and all that

I will comment that I don't like anything that has any type of plastic insert in the pad... For my son's swaybacked mare, we use a wool pad, then do put a gel filled pad on top, but she's also not ridden very hard, and we also try not to ride when it's really hot

Here's a link to a thread with a very cool article on how saddle pads work Do you ever really think about how your saddle pad works? check this out

I have used both bads and like both for differnt things. I find for every day use the Classic is a better choice. They hold up well most are easy to clean and are comfy for the horse. For show I like the Pro choice. They look better and the under flease can be replaced when it gets worn out. However the cells do not seem to hold up to every day use as well as the Classic dose. I just do not like to double up on my pads and most of the good Classic pads do not have a nice outter shell so need a blanket over then and I just do not like that. Hence the Pro Choise for shows.
