Quiet Clippers

I just get a cool set of clippers at Zellers.

The are called Kid's Klippers and they are extra quiet and practically no vibration. I don't know how well they will cut but they will be just the thing for getting my paint colt to over his terror of the electric clippers.

I turned them on last night and they are super quiet and you can hardly feel them vibrate.

He is fine to get his feet, legs and bridle path clipped but heaven forbid if you go near his face or ears

Has anyone ever tried those little hand held ones they advertise in Jeffer's - I was wondering if those would be good to use on foals for that first clip We have the quiet wireless ones, but these little ones will fit in the palm of your hand

gbarm do you mean these-
WAHL® Moser Arco™ Cordless Rechargable Clipper or the smaller ones, mini arco?
I love these for dogs and horses! One blade goes from a 9-40 with the flip of a switch of your thumb. And the replacement blades are only 17.95. I do bridle paths, ears and faces with these.

I love mine! Like I said I use them on dogs (I groom dogs for a living) and horses. I have 2 sets and the blades are cheap. I also have the Andis AGC cordless that are a little more powerful although they are louder for doing ears and faces, I still perfer my arcos. I really like my arcos and my girlfriend does, too! She is having me order a set from my supplier.

I used the kid's clipper's (Conair Kid's Klippers) I got at Zeller's on the weekend and what a change in my horse. He let me clip him everywhere ~ bridlepath, chin, muzzle, ears!!!

They actually cut quite well too. My $25.00 was well spent.

I think I will look into the cordless Wahl clippers too. They sound great.

I've tried all of these on my gelding trying to do his ears and he'll have none of it.
I had to resort to using scissors last year to trim him for the shows. He doesn't want anything w/a motor near his ears.
I just don't want to resort to twitching him. I hate it!

Yes, this is what I have used to desensitize River these past several weeks. He just got his first "real" body clip the other day....with a regular pair I picked up at our local horse auction. I thought the little ones worked great, especially for training!

Tuh daaa!!!

Thats a really nice job on clipping. And, yes it takes a long time to do.

My Wahl tiny clippers are noisy and do vibrate but I like them. Not many of mine throw too much of a fit. I guess I've tortured them enough. My Pmu foals met the clippers at 3 mos... hahahaha. I'm a mean mommy. They didn't mind and now they're a dream. When all else fails, chain over nose or twitch. Not worth fighting with them. Someone usually gets upset.

The Conair Kid's clipper are very very quiet and there is no vibration at all. You can put the edge of the blade against your skin and can barely feel them moving ~ it's weird.

I guess they are meant to be super safe around small kids (they came with a waterproof bathtime picture book too )
