When will she foal? Baby girl! Vet just left

This is Suzy, she is due on Feb 9th however, the vet was out Wednesday and said she could go anytime. She is bagged up, the butt is very spongey and she is huge.

Our family is having bets on when she will go what do you guys think?

Any guesses?

I'm guessing Jan 3rd or close to by a couple days. It's the full moon.

We are moving her today. She will be in the field right by the house. Of course it is raining today so it would be perfect! She just waddles everywhere she goes. Poor thing!

We have one due the end of Feb - she is starting to get that way too - they become the "duck" walk horses until they foal!

My mare bagged three weeks before she foaled.

Like Gbar said, at least in the next two weeks.

2007 foaling is starting. Baby pics, baby pcs.

She's big! I imagine Foxy looks something like that right about now.

Im guessing she'll go on the full moon, as its usually around then that my mares have went. But you never know! I think they get a kick out of making us wait.

That one picture looks like she is standing on top of the fence!

Gbar, what a great idea! Wonder who gets the first foal of 2007!

No ME! She looks like she is having contractions (it might just be wishing though)!

I did not even notice the one picture of her standing on the fence, that is funny!!

Just from looking, I would say you have a few more weeks. She doesnt look to be dropped enough in the belly and her croup is still round.
Can see her milk veins have started.

OK, here is my guess, Jan. 11.

I agree - the belly usually drops pretty good and hers look too high. I have had mares that bagged up 6 weeks before they foaled, the little rodents... my coffe pot loved me, and I spent a lot of time with Jay (leno)

I wish I could agree with you but, the pictures do not show how low her belly is. We have been watching the progress of this baby it has moved all the way back and her belly is hangin low. She would not let me take anymore pictures of her. Must be a woman thing with cameras

It is pouring the rain here and would be just perfect weather

I know that I will be checking on her frequently until it happens. She just has not been herself and was trying to get back into the brush in the back field today before I got her moved. She never goes back there...hmmmm.

I would have to say around the middle of January, given that she has started to bag up and the foal has started to move into position it could be any time now... but I know they like to make us all wait. Keep us posted. More pics please.

Just dont be disappointed when there is no foal.
Her belly has to drop more than the pics show and her croup will be concaved not round. Also there will be no foal activity when birth is enar.

Just giving you my opinion from years of experience with foaling mares.

Good luck with a healthy foal.

Although she looks rather large, I say another 2-3 weeks.
I can't wait to see pictures of the foal.
