Pin bones and hook bones?

I know these are the point of the hip and point of the buttock, but which is which? I've looked online and can't find any definitive info except one page that says the pin bones are the point of the buttock. Nothing on hook bones. Anybody know?

Yes, I'm studying the Henneke body scoring scale. We leased a couple Quarter Horse mares to a friend's daughter and one of them came back in sad shape. They had sent them to a trainer for five months and he apparently starved them ~ but the skinny one's back home and doing much better already, and the other was moved a month ago to within five miles of us so we can keep an eye on her (she's already fattened back up, too).

Word to the wise ~ no matter who you lease a horse to, go check on it regularly! This "trainer" is an FFA teacher!

Well, that's easy to remember then ~ Hip = Hooks. Thanks, Leadmare!
