First Fox Hunt

I received an invitation from the Brazos Valley Hunt Club to join them on their first hunt next weekend. I am dying to go but I don't know the etiquette for a hunt. I was told that formal attire is required which I can wear my show jacket and rat catcher. I was also told that I would ride in the second flight since I would be a newbie.

Anyone want to give me more advice so I don't do anything I'm not supposed to?

Yield to the hounds! They are used to having the horses yield to them & as such, will cut you off repeatedly. However, once you get going, if you're in the second field they won't likely be with you anyway. As for the etiquette, someone else will need to help you out there. I only go on the hound exercises as they're not so formal. Have fun...it's a blast!
