stay at home jobs

I need some advice on finding a stay at home job.

I am sick A LOT and it makes it very difficult for me to hold a job since I never know how I am going to feel. I have gastroparesis (partial paralysis of the stomach) and I haven't been able to eat solid foods since last February. At this point, my savings are shot, and I had to move into my parents house.

I was thinking maybe ebay would be a good place to start but I'm not really sure how to go about it?

Any suggestions?

I've also done medical transcription for a number of years, but the competition from overseas has driven the wages down. There is Cha-Cha Search something where you can answer questions on the net from ppl's cell phones. I'd look up telecommute. What special skills do you have?

Be careful not to get swindled by a stay at home scam.

Lots of stay at home scams out there. Be REALLY careful if you are googling 'work at home'. I have yet to find a good 'at home' job. (Other than homeschool mom).

It's been a year or two since I last did it, but PayPerPost is a way to make a LITTLE bit of income doing something legit, albeit, it can feel a little skeezy.

If you're willing to, or have a place to host a Blog (I would recommend NOT using Livejournal, Wordpress, Blogger, etc because, I THINK PPP has ruled them out), and don't mind doing a bit of link farming with other "Posties", you get paid per post (up to 3 a day) to write advertising for PayPerPost's agencies.

Totally legit. I did it for 2+ years to earn just a little bit extra income in my pocket ("fun" money). I was doing it when LiveJournal was still allowed, but, once they said no dice to that, I stopped doing it.

Ops can pay anywhere from a minimum of $5 a post, up to, and I kid you not, $1,000+ a post. Course, for those opportunities, you have to have a BUNCH of people following your blog and you kind of need to be specialized.

PayPerPost.com

I've done dispatch work for an *cough*'adult'*cough* site. Didn't do the dirty work, I just processed credit card payments. This type of job is something for the more openminded and not-faint of heart. Again, for that I got paid per call and earned a bit extra if I was willing to work the night shift. And, of course, if you're REALLY open..there's the dirty work. I have a friend who does it for a living and earns as much or more than her husband. Course, she works just as hard, or harder, than someone with a desk job, but...there you go.

Now that I've sufficiently freaked everyone out...I'll go back to looking normal.

Shayla, you crack me up! I had an at home job, it spoiled me rotten. I was an insurance adjuster. Claims came in to home office they email it to us adjusters and we do the investigating on the claim! Best job EVER! Got layed off the business got slow. Now I dont want any other type of job!!!! The reality is I am getting one anyways! I still have high hopes they will call me back on though!

Actually, there's quite a few people involved in the adult industry. I own an adult image hosting service that brings in a bit of extra cash every month myself. If nothing else, it at least pays for the feed, shavings and hay. I'm actually looking at opening an adult advertising network as well to see if I can up my earnings a little bit. The adult world is, after all, a trillion dollar (+) a year industry.

Another site similar to Pay Per Post that you might try is AssociatedContent.com.
