Homemade baby wipes

I got this out of a book

Cut one roll Bounty paper towels in half with electric knife (or whatever works for you).

Place one roll vertically in a clean, empty one gallon ice cream bucket.

In a large measuring pitcher mix 2 cups water, 2 TB baby oil, 1 TB rubbing alcohol.

Pour liquid over the roll of paper towels in the ice cream bucket and soak for thirty minutes. Remove cardboard center. Feed the top corner of the paper towels through an X shaped slit that you've cut in the ice cream bucket lid. Now you can pull and use one wipe at a time.

I haven't tried this yet, but I will be gathering my material to try it soon.

I used those back when my oldest was born....more than 17 years ago! They work great! They're perfect for keeping in the car, too! Especially after barn visits.

When making them, make sure to use the Bounty, or other high end cloth like paper towel. The cheapies don't work worth a crap.

I did that too, but before I put lid on you should put in , plastic bag they dry out really quick, because the ice cream container isnt air tight, so then I started using an old baby wipe container....lol

You can also use this idea for making homemade fly wipes for your horses.
Instead of the liquid recipe above, you can use your favorite homemade fly spray recipe.

In case you don't have a fly spray recipe, here's one from Ricoman:
1/2 oz citronella essential pil
1/2 oz eucalyptus essential oil
1/2 oz rosemary essential oil
5cc Permethrin (can get at TSC in the fly aisle.)
16 oz water
14 oz white vinegar.
