Thanks. You will love my retro bathroom then.

And a light fixture like this.

So I went with the pink flow with these curtains and shower curtains and I will use the matching pillow cases to make a gathered sink skirt!

This lace vinyl shower curtain liner.

This wool needlepoint rug to cover my vintage stool.

And I will use the cotton braided rugs I made.

I love the depression glass - I've been collecting green depression for almost 30 years. I could spend hours looking at it!

Hey! We finally found something in common!

What patterns do you collect?

I have mainly Dogwood with a sprinkling of Lace Edge and Hobnail with Bartlett Collins blank stem/glassware.

This is very similar to my kitchen -- same colors and everything only I have two windows over the sink.

With this kind of sink.

The vinyl floor matches the countertops and this is the fabric I have for the curtains with this trim on the bottom.

And that is all that is there -- that one wall of cabinetry and the two windows over the sink. On the left side of the cabinets is a space designed for a gas range, and my range will just fit on this wall that opens on the dining room.

There is a great backsplash material that will be real cheap to install behind the range and under the cabinets cause I won’t need much of it.

I found these 3 wall lamps online for a total of $20 -- one for over the range, windows, and by the refrigerator.

On the small wall opposite the range, there is room for this stuff with my 1930‘s chrome Kitchenaid model G mixer on the cabinet.

On the last small wall opposite the cabinetry there is just room for a stool [I‘m begging my auntie for her vintage stool], and my mom’s cart, which will be topped with a great heavy thick 24 by 24 inch butcher block that I got for a dollar at a used appliance shop. They just took it from an old portable non-working dishwasher. Right over the cart, I will wall mount my huge neat store fixture knife display rack which is full of vintage Sabatier carbon steel knives.

Over the range, the refrigerator area, and on the stool wall, I will use as many of these shelves I can to hold my vast collection of cookware.

I have collected yellow, flame, and red enameled cast iron cookware for years, so I will store them on the shelves along with my canisters and bottles [aqua vintage jars and bottles].

There is a tiny rear entrance/basement access that I will line with shelving as a pantry for overflow kitchen stuff.

Whew! That's my plans and I'm sticking to them!

I guess I should finish up this part of the thread by pulling together the only other room in the house that I did not fully go over with you. Let’s finish the interior by pulling together all the dining room items.
On one wall I will hang a thrift shop mirror which I will paint white, over my wicker desk that will act as a bar that holds this Ebay tray and a lamp. I will use the tulip fabric bordered by the solid as a skirt for the bottom of the desk for additional storage with a shelf holding liquor and wine on the desk supports underneath it. The desk drawers will hold my silver flatware.

A white wicker baby changing table I have will act as more storage and as a small buffet.

Over the freshly painted white enameled ice cream bistro dining table [with it’s new 42 inch glass top] will be my inspiration chandelier, with the rose flowers darkened to red. The four ice cream stools will be white with new cushioned fabric seats. I will make a tablecloth and napkins from the tulip fabric and valances. My yellow curtains will have the red fabric trim.

To hold my new collection of pink depression glass, I will find a cheap oak curved glass china cabinet.

Three of these will hold my library on the last wall.

The front of the house has two big Catalapa shade trees and I want to plant pretty and fragrant flowers around it.

And a wild strawberry bed to the side

The back yard has a tiny shady patio and I have two wicker bistro sets which will be white with this Ebay $1 a yard fabric cushions.

I will use railroad ties to create beds for perennial onions, garlic, asparagus, and herbs.
I will plant a small orchard of 3 peach trees, 3 apple trees, and 3 yellow cherry trees.

Gravel on the driveway and parking area will finish the landscaping, since here is no garage or carport.

Thank you so much!!

It was a real lucky find when I was looking a couple of weeks ago on my favorite online discount fabric site --fabric guru! The more I looked at it, the more I just had to have it!

The fabrics I ordered were in such limited quanities, I had to get them right away. I may never see those patterns again, and I would have kicked myself real bad.

I bought the gold checked fabric I am using in the living room, master bedroom and the guest room 31 yards @ $6 a yard. The tulip fabric was 4.8 yards for $34. And the red checked fabric was 11.9 yards for $36.

And I bought the tulip chandelier on Ebay last year for about $30 to $40 including shipping.

I'm not terribly particular about the patterns, though my very first piece was given to me by my grandfather and it is a wheat pattern. One of my favorite pieces is a cherry blossom cake stand. I enjoy mixing and matching the patterns together.

I love your house and all the furnishings. Your taste is very similar to mine The front porch just screams to sit down and have a glass of sweet tea and chat.

Thanks loads!

It is so cool and peaceful on the porch, even in the hottest weather. I have a couple of old chairs on there right now. I may get a white wicker porch swing one day.

Thank you!!

I have to buy: a stack washer and dryer, an antique oak curved glass china cabinet, armoires for the living room, a rug for the guest room, a large glass table top, the chrome shelving for the kitchen, the curtain rods, and the plants for the yard.

I have everything else.

I have been a collector/hoarder for most of my adult life..........

Thank you, I worked real hard to try to make the colors/patterns/fabrics flow from room to room. I am so glad my last plan is working!
